Fancy frames

I wanted to change the frame of my eyeglasses because I thought it's out of style and it makes me look more older. I had it 14 years ago and I guess that's the advantage of the pricey ones..the quality. It's still intact and looks new. Fourteen years ago I was still young and didn't care how I looked like but well I'm turning 40 so sometimes i get a little conscious of it now..lol.

I thought I'd buy those fancy glasses that you could get for only 100 pesos or so then transfer the lens from my original glasses. I found the one I like for only 125 pesos! After paying for it, off I went to the optical clinic in front of LCC. They told me that they don't do the job since the frame was disposable. Okay. I tried another clinic still in Legazpi. Once again they turned my down and even bent my glasses to demonstrate how brittle the frame was explaining that it will crack while inserting the lens. I was like, "hey take it easy, I get the point"!lol.. For all I know you just want me to buy your expensive frame that's why you're turning me down. But I was hell bent to wear that new frame and wasn't about to give up.


I jumped into a jeepney heading to Daraga and got off Acebedo Optical clinic. They immediately accepted the job and even checked my eyes for free. Since the size of the lens from my old glasses doesn't match the new frame, I had another lens made but only for 600 pesos. My old glasses was five times the amount of that. Practically all in all, I got a good deal. It's been months and I am not disposing of it yet.
